Litterless Lunch

Respecting our School Environment: Pack it in - Pack it out

Litter free lunches help us to keep our school clean and are the best form of recycling. We ask that whatever comes to school in your child's lunch kit, goes home in their lunch kit.

On average, a school-aged child with a disposable lunch generates approximately 30 kg (67 lbs) of waste per school year. That means that your child's class could produce approximately 737 kg (1,625 lbs) of waste each year. Imagine how much waste an entire school produces. We ask that whatever comes in your child's lunch bag goes home in your child's lunch bag,  including empty juice boxes and food wrappers. With your help, we will create far less garbage at school and you will have a better idea what your child is eating for lunch.
